Speaker profile

Nelson Silva is the Lead of the Strategic Intelligence business area at Know-center. His work includes advanced data analytics and visualization projects and the development of automated and intelligent analytics solutions. He is also a senior researcher at Knowledge Visualization division at Know-Center. His research interests are focused on eye-tracking for visual analytics recommendations and on the development of innovative adaptive and assistive user interfaces. He contributes with multiple techniques for human-robot collaboration, IoT and mixed reality research.

Dr. Matthias Stephan is Head of Robotics Automation within the DataVisions initiative at Siemens Digital Industries. The main objective of DataVisions is to establish a decentralized network of Citizen Developers and Scientists within the Business that are capable of driving the digital transformation. As a technological intrapreneur, he introduced the concept of a robot as a virtual helper to the organisation. His team is coaching and empowering Business Users to use intelligent automation in their daily work.

His vision is: A self-trained Robot as a virtual assistant on every PC.
